The point is, a good advice is a good advice, regardless of who gives it. The same goes for a bad advice, but here, as soon as the advice is connected to some Chinese player/coach, it must be good. Heck, a Chinese small town coach is more respected here then a world class coach from Europe, cause we all know that China are the best at TT.

Newsflash to some of you guys, some of the best coaches are Chinese, how ever, not every single Chinese is a good coach. I bet all countries have both good and bad coaches, so stop making the pointless statement about your "chinese coach", as a simply "my coach" is good enough to tell us where you got it from. Unless it's truly a world class coach, but then I much rather have the name then his origin.

well maybe a difference in opinion, Ebenholz 7 is really faster, thinner and harder almost the same weight but for me clipper has more feel and its better at short game, anyway id like to ask what did you use to fill up the hollow handle?
Hehe. I guess I just like the feel of hardwood.
I pushed in the little window to expose the hollow core of the handle. I filled it in with epoxy, with some filler in the center (cork or anything light would do) to add precisely 5g in handle weight. Without the filler material in the middle, adding pure epoxy resin would add 10g. Balance felt better, and the control was better.

I don't get it. If China is dominating at the olympic games(and in most international competitions) what would be the benefit of removing TT from the olympics ? It's not like Chinese national players are playing only in the olympic games...

This nails it for me, unless there is a real problem with technique, which when concerning lack of power on the f/hand often is the result of playing too square to the table.

Sorry, No. How it could possibly benefit TT by not being in the Olympics is a mystery to me, explain please.

The Chinese model cannot possibly work in other countries because it is based on numbers and what comes out at the top is the cream of the cream of the cream, whereas else where we just have the cream. Ironically most amateur and social players would be better off employing easier techniques than can be demonstrated by 'ex Chinese national team coaches' because its just impossible to re-create the perfection acquired through total dedication and 1000's of hours drilling, by paying $50 an hour then practising two hours a week.

because the old sizes would produce a head heavy blade with heavy rubbers so i think its one of the reasons they changed the size.

I wonder why that was?
It's probably because he and his team had the humility to admit that there might've been a reason the Swedes were at the top of the sport and that they might have something to learn from them.  Imagine if KLH and his coaches thought "hey, we're at the top of the sport too, what do we have to learn from the Swedes? I vomit every time someone starts a sentence with 'when I was in Sweden...'!"
Heck, imagine them saying that when their coaches and players aren't even anywhere close to being on top....

Didn't WLQ also train in Sweden?
Anyway, in the thirties, Mercedes and Auto Union (Audi) dominated motor racinng GP with a budget 10 times greater than the other teams.Manchester City wins the English Premier league by spending more than the other teams.Chelsea wins the Champions League with a team that probably cost as much or more than the other teams.China dominates word TT after spending more than all other countries combined. As a result, it has more players than all the other countries combined.
Anyone notice the trend?
